The Maintenance Service is responsible for the upkeep of the building and maintenance of all its facilities. It is mainly responsible for installing, renovating and / or repairing everything related to electrical equipment, air conditioning, compressed air supply, plumbing, and communications. They develop both new equipment that they design at the request of the researchers themselves, as well as carry out the modification and / or repair of existing equipment, as well as welding, carpentry, painting, gardening, etc. It is simply a key element in the smooth running of the Institute's "day-to-day" operation.

It is also involved in the design of electrical and mechanical instruments / projects and the design and construction of auxiliary materials and equipment for use in laboratories.

In this Service, all the equipment used in the Institute is repaired, except for some that, due to their complexity or convenience, are carried out by the specialized commercial house.

It is responsible for the coordination of all the external maintenance services of the Institute.
